DSecond-cycle degree Pprojects at CSC

The instructions ion this groupese pages apply to all theses at 30hp which is examined by CSC. In addition to the general instructions special rules apply to the different thesis topics, such as how to register for thesis presentation. These can be found under the different course categories in the menu to the left.¶ General In these pages we will try to give you an idea of ​​what we can provide for support and what requirements we have when doing thesis work at CSC. s are always conducted formally at the school: you have a tutn examiner and a supervisor at the school , the school haveimposes requirements foron the tasksignment, solution methods, the report's content and design, and the thesis of the report, and the degree project is approved by the school. However, the tasksignment can be retrievobtained from an external client in which caseprincipal and then the practical work areis often carried out there.Thesis work is always made within a specific subject. There are several thesis topics that are available at CSC, such as computer science, media and human-computer interaction.You must always contact the thesis coordinator for your thesis topic and register your thesis before you begin.Who the thesis coordinator iperformed there.¶

Group supervision Group supervision and fixed starting date
s fnor your subject is specified in the courses' pages mally apply. Degree projects are commenced on 2-4 occasions each year. Those students starting the left menu.¶ Some thesis topics apply group supervision with fixed start and end dates. Find out what applies to your thesis topic in the meny to the left. In cases where individual tutoring is applied and you know someone at CSC that you think might work as a tutor for your intended degree, you can contact him or her directly.¶ There are some rules that are common to all exjobbs at KTH, which can be found at:¶

Apart from the KTH-wide rules the CSC-School also have specific rules that apply to the different thesis topics. Note: You can not use an already started or finished work to get it approved as a thesis project
ir degree project form groups of up to 6 students, and each group is given a supervisor. A report date is established from the beginning and the group then adheres to this schedule. There are joint supervision sessions, but individual supervision sessions also occur. The group members monitor and assess each other's work and receive constructive criticism, which can improve their own work.¶

There are degree projects that are not suitable for group supervision, e.g., degree projects abroad, but otherwise group supervision is used.¶

Note: It is not possible to present commenced or completed work and have it approved as a degree project.¶
